Empörungselegie

_T0A5964.jpg

Empörungselegie is a performance exploring anger as a shared yet deeply personal emotion shaped by individual experiences, values, and perspectives.

Inspired by the Japanese concept of hika-kougai (悲歌慷慨), the work examines how anger can be perceived, embodied, and expressed in different ways. Rather than presenting a singular interpretation, it brings together multiple forms of expression created from the distinct viewpoints of the participating artists.

By allowing diverse artistic languages and perceptions to coexist within the same space, Empörungselegie reflects on the complexity of human relationships and the ways individuals negotiate their differences while sharing a common world.

Academic Perspective

“Anger arises when something important is violated. It suggests the values and norms that a person holds."

"Exploring anger and expressing it through art can reveal both the universality of human experience and the differences in the beliefs each person carries within.”
